◊ Profile

| Confident | Humorous | Ill-mannered | Brave | Genuine | Curious | Reckless |

Tomoko, at heart, is a reactionary girl. Stemming from her emotionally driven center, every action and statement will have a meaning and purpose. Tomoko makes decisions on a whim, referring to what she feels is right or wrong for judgement. She's the kind of girl who'd say "Act first, think later." She hates to waste her time when something could be done. She's friendly enough, but many people are driven away by her abrasive, immature nature. Tomoko is the very opposite of lady-like, and she has a thirst for adventure. When she is happy - she's beaming, when she is sad - she's absolutely miserable. Tomoko wears her heart on her sleeve. The girl is easily discouraged, but her ability to bounce back after failure is swift. Tomoko always gets herself hurt with her rash attitude, digging up trouble wherever she goes, but never does she regret her antics.

Likes: Wind | Noodles | Dogs | Finding treasure | Dirty jokes | Sunsets | Caterpillars

Dislikes: Cats | Failure | Smoke | The ocean | Being called weak | Eating meat

◊ History

To Tomoko, home was a Noodle House with no elbow room and a kitchen better than its bedroom. She grew up playing with knives and learning how to maneuver through the bustling traffic of Sei'An. The city was always busy, and easy to get lost in - not that Tomoko minded. Her parents spent their time running the Noodle House, and eventually she would join in on the family business. But during the years when she was young enough to get in trouble and get away with it, Tomoko collected a worthwhile load of memories. As a child, Sei'An was a magical place. Streets lined with stone, glowing lanterns surrounded by enough fireflies to light up the Temple itself, and winding canals filled with water - perfect for dipping your toes in on hot summer days. But, as Tomoko grew older, her definition of the city changed to nosy, busy, and lonely. Strange enough, people were too busy with their own problems to worry about others. Tomoko never liked that.

Tomoko's birthdays came and went, taking with them her childlike freedom. She started working with her family at The Noodle House; cooking, cleaning, and serving the customers. Tomoko would've enjoyed it, but when you do something all day, every day - it gets repetitive. The highlight of her day was each night, when her Father told stories of how he used to be one of the Emperor's soldiers. The wild tales filled the young girl with awe and inspiration - she yearned for the excitement he spoke of! One day, due to Tomoko's penchant for curious expeditions, she stumbled upon her fathers glaive. Deciding that the weapon would receive more love in her hands, Tomoko took it. She started flaking off from work to go play with her new weapon - never having been properly trained, Tomoko was humorously awful at it. But she kept at it, not giving up.

Things were stale for a while - but they never remain that way in Nippon, do they? Tomoko and her Parents were losing customers, and they had to know why. Digging into the issue, they learned that their customers had all started falling ill. The investigation ended in the Miho's kitchen - her parents saw something strange with their new batch of imported ingredients. They were foggy, and stunk with an evil aura. This was the cause of their customers' illness! But what was it? Unknown to them, the miasma was slowly making it's comeback. Soon enough, the Miho Family stopped receiving their ingredients flat out - without that, their Noodle House wouldn't thrive. The region that provided Tomoko with her ingredients fell to the miasma - but the Miho Family had yet to learn that. News traveled slowly, and Tomoko made decisions swiftly.

"Please, daughter, you must save our shop... Go and find out why we have stopped getting our ingredients. Take the Noodle Cart and our bull - ride quickly, each day is another blow to our livelihood."

Having been given a purpose, Tomoko did what she was sent out to do. Packing up her belongings, she left Sei'An city.  Tomoko planned to head to Shinsu Fields - where the farmers grew the wheat her family cooked with.  However... Bad news was the only thing waiting for her. Weeks passed by as Tomoko traveled, the poisonous miasma spreading further with each day. When Tomoko arrived to Shinsu Fields, a thick and evil fog hung over the lands, preventing her from entering. The once golden fields were corrupted, and foul. When Tomoko attempted entering, pain flushed through her body as the suffocating miasma overwhelmed her.  The feeling was unlike anything she ever felt, and immediately Tomoko knew she had to return home, to tell her people of this calamity.

Disappointed, Tomoko wasn't happy to bring the upsetting news back to her family. Little did she know, her home succumbed to the vile miasma in her absence. Tomoko returned to a blocked off city, unable to enter, and having no idea what happened to her family inside. The guards would tell her nothing, besides the fact that evil now prowled through Nippon. It was evident enough, by the dense smog hovering over Sei'An, that the Guards were truthful. Even if she wanted to enter the thick miasma plagued city, it's poison would stop her.

Equipped with just her Father's glaive and the Miho Family noodle cart, Tomoko left to wander. She made little money from her cart, cooking soups for hungry travelers - but the pay was enough to live on. She knew she couldn't stay, for the land was dying around her. The miasma was growing, and Tomoko left in search of the unaffected regions of Nippon. She learned how to defend herself against threats - but she never learned how to fight, to protect herself properly. Tomoko focused on escaping the poisonous miasma, and to warn the other regions of it's danger. She found herself in Kamiki Village, its beauty a refreshing sight. A scent of stale incense clung to Tomoko's skin, along with a potluck of spices - even after so much time has passed since she worked in her family's Noodle House, the aroma never left. The reminder helped light her fire to protect Nippon. Maybe ... Maybe it was time to stop running - and to start fighting.
